Well I have finished #15. Delivered this morning.
Specs
24.9 OM
Cam Rosewood B&S (Looks like Peter M's Probably same tree)
Lutz Top from Shane
Ebony Fretboard and Bridge.
This is the last of the pre Somogyi guitars!!!!
So far it sounds nice. Needs to be played.

I really like the way that camatillo rosewood back looks... I can't wait to build with the set I have. I remember you told me that a set you used before had a lot of cracks. Was this set as brittle as the last?

So you didn't incorporate any Somogyi wisdom into this one?

Thanks for the kind words. I cannot take credit for the flawless finish. Tony
F did it for me.
My next is a Mac Ebony/Lutz OM that has some Somogyi characteristics. We
will see how it sounds. The one after is a Redwood/Cocobolo OM with most
of Ervins influences.

This is the only set I have ever used. It was brittle and cracked a bit. I
flooded the back with CA and then sanded smooth . I think it helped

Hi Andy,

Very nice! I thought both of the guitars you brought to the Somogyi class looked great, this one is no different.... look forward to your post-Somogyi instruments, that's when the real fun begins!!

Greg

Andy that's Top Dawg man. Wowser, or bowser! The finish is incredible and lets that stunning back and side set shine. Another masterpiece, a sound clip would be nice....

Beautiful guitar Andy. I really like the elegant look. What is Cam rosewood, is that cambodian? where can a person get some of that?

It is Camatillo Rosewood. Fairly inexpensive. I got mine from LMI

SWEET! I really like your peghead shape. I like when it tapers to the end, so the strings don't take off at angles from the nut as bad. Beautiful wood, too! .Alan.

Andy - the headstock inlay is very nicely cut and inlayed, nicely matched neck and fantastic finish. You build great guitars!

Great Guitar Andy.  Are the head and rosette the same as the back/sides?
